10The Sleepy Mominator
Tagged Under : sleep, tired
The kids fell asleep a while ago. I was sooooo tired before they actually fell asleep. As soon as they fell asleep I got my 4th wind of the day. It’s been a little harder than usual for me to get back into the routine this week after they went back to school. They completely spoiled me for 2 weeks without even knowing it. With the exception of maybe 2 days they slept in everyday until about 9ish. A mom getting to sleep until about 9ish is the equivalent of a person without kids sleeping until noon. (just in case you didn’t know)
What I think is so weird about that is we don’t get up all that early. I have to wake up around 7:45 in order to do my prayer time and walk the dog before I get them up and going. It seems that extra hour and fifteen minutes was something that I was just so used to not getting that at a certain point my body didn’t care. All week I’ve been working late because of trying to get Kind.tv done. A couple nights my brain just wouldn’t shut off so all week I’ve been up even later than normal.
Why am I sharing this? Not to whine. I don’t whine. Never. Not me. <shakes her head, trying to be convincing> I’m sharing to comiserate with the other tired moms that did a happy little jig this week when their kids got on the bus in the morning at the beginning of the week. I did do a jig. There are witnesses I believe. A few of those witnesses joined me in my dance of joy.
I better pop a Tylenol PM or something so I can do some catching up on the zzzzz’s. I am no coffee drinker but, I will need an I.V. of caffeine hooked up to me soon at this rate.
Good night then!
